Job Description
Responsibilities under Purchasing :
- Responsible in purchasing spare parts & consumables requested by Engineers
- Manage store supplies, ensure sufficient stocks for daily work operations
- Responsible for the quality of products supplied to the company
- Negotiate term contracts/ credit terms with suppliers
- Execute orders and monitor delivery status
- Manage and source for vendors with competitive prices
- Upkeep purchased records and provide monthly reports for all orders
- Conduct supplier audit
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015
Responsibilities under Trading:
- Review customer’s enquiries, clarify and understand their requirements
- Source for items requested by customers from vendors/ stockists
- Prepare quotation to customers and follow through the enquiry
- Conduct quality check of goods before dispatch
- Arrange for shipping, insurance and transport up till receipt of goods by customers
- Marketing of in house stocks to potential buyers
- Carry out regular stock taking and ensure stocks are in good condition
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Preferably with technical knowledge
- Minimum 2 ~ 3 years purchasing experience in Marine Industry
- Able to manage & variety of tasks in a fast-paced high workload environment
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Independent, resourceful, pro-active and team player
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Able to commence work immediately
