Are you an aspiring pastry chef?

At Tiong Bahru Bakery, we are dedicated to mastering the handmade craft of baking, using time-honoured techniques and the finest ingredients. Our humble neighbourhood bakery celebrates communities through the simple act of breaking bread with others.

Position: Commis Pastry Chef

Location: 267 Pandan Loop, Singapore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, viennoiseries, and other baked goods following our established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the pastry team to innovate and introduce new products, contributing to menu development.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Support senior chefs in daily operations, including mise en place and other preparatory tasks.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or certification in Patisserie or Bakery would be highly advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality baked goods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to business needs, including working shifts as required.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
